I had a great breakfast at this diner with my mom and boyfriend. The server was fantastic and the place was decked out for Christmas, which added to the cozy atmosphere. My mom demolished her Bowl: 3 Scrambled eggs W/ Meat & Gravy, while I savored a delicious scrapple sandwich, and my boyfriend raved about his steak and eggs. Such a satisfying meal, definitely recommend checking out the Essex Diner!

Tried this place first time today. Service was terrible. Not sure if the girl was one of the owner's daughter's or not after reading other reviews, but she acted like she owned the place. Was not attentive to our table at all. Food was ok. Potatoes were dry, most food was cold when it came straight out from the kitchen. Ordered eggs benedict, the hollandaise sauce was very weird. Will never visit again.

Hands down one of the best diners in town. There is always a smile for my toddler son and I, the owner is hands on and from wait staff to kitchen staff, feels like family. I'm in the business myself and it's refreshing to walk into helpful attentive staff and unbelievablely yummy food. Cheeseburger subs rule!

Used to love this place but since.step daughters ashlee and renee work there its horrible. Only if the owner knew there are horrible. I'm surprised last x I ate here the two sisters young children were in there running all around.climbing all over the seats screaming loud.I truly thought I was at a day care center.normally I'd rate this place a ten.now I rate this a one.the owners wife is very sneaky starring at people and laughing at people behind there backs with her daughters.I have personally seen that for my self.i felt so uncomfortable.ill never go back.now the other employees are sweet.attendive.food has always been great and fairly priced.be aware of the nasty sisters and there evil mother.there really bringing mr gregs pkace into the ground.
