The food and coffee were enjoyable, and the wait staff was friendly. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious, located next to the river. The atmosphere is pleasant, with a welcoming and family-like vibe.

We read multiple reviews that made this seem like somewhere we wanted to try on one of our trips to Cumberland. The staff seemed as if they didn't really want us there. Our server was OK and at least had a little bit of emotion in her voice. The rest were dry and seemed as if they didn't want to be there. The food was nothing to write home about. My burger tasted like the grease from everything that has been cooked on that grill over the past month. I only ate it because I was paying for it and was very hungry. I paid for that later..... This is one of those restaurants that may have been good at one time but is only still open because people that grew up eating there are now old and go out of habit. Its the elderly hangout. You could see the difference in how the staff treated the regulars versus someone not being one. I won't go back. Next time I'll go back to Skewers, they were actually nice and had decent food

Food is always a solid hit here, if you like home-made over same/old stuff. On the rare occasion something hasn't been perfect, they are absolutely gracious about making everything right. The desserts often exceptional, and the staff friendly and attentive. During the COVID crisis, they've reopened their 'to-go' window and the quality hasn't suffered a bit! Still great portions and good, home-style cooking. We pick up and park in the back of the lot and enjoy the few of Lover's Leap while we eat. Still eating out and staying safe! I
