Leon's of Baltimore has a rich history dating back to the late 19th century, with documented LGBTQ+ service since the 1950s. Despite some uncertainties surrounding its early years, the bar has maintained a strong presence in the community for over 60 years. As I entered the dimly lit space with a close friend, I was enveloped in a sense of familiarity and camaraderie, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and friendly interactions.
