Been ordering from this place for over 5 years. I always do take out. I have always enjoyed the food here. Was not the best Chinese I've ever had but always pleasing. But, today the food was really, really good! I think that was the best Kung Pao chicken I've ever had. Did they get a new cook? I don't know. Simply awesome food. Keep it up.

Poor customer service. I ordered the Chinese chicken salad. It is made with about a head of dry Iceberg lettuce, poached chicken slivers, a few grated carrots, and some ginger. No Flavor! No crispy noodles, no almonds, no mandarin oranges, no sesame oil …NO flavor. When I called to complain, the lady said that is how they have made the salad for years. If it was not what I expected or felt it was over priced, it was not her fault. Because of her lack of concern I said I will not order from her again and she said ok. Warning** the Chinese chicken salad is horrible, flavorless and overpriced for basically Iceberg lettuce. The Asian salad from Wendy’s is much, much better!

This place is never crowded and I always wonder why. I love their dim sum especially their BBQ pork buns! They deliver to which is great!

Food was tasty, hot and came very quickly to the table. I was going to order five dishes (for three people) but the waiter said that was probably too many...he was right. The portions are large.

Used to love this place. Lived in the area for five years and returned here religiously. Unfortunately, I can never order from here again. Got delivery and ordered won tons. They sent us won ton soup (in addition to the hot and sour soup we actually ordered). Called to inform them we did not want won ton soup, but had ordered thew regular won tons. Really mean rude lady, probably the owner, proceeded to yell and argue with me over the phone for 10 minutes. In the end, we got stuck with and paid for some really bad won ton soup that I would not feed to my dog. We never got any fried won tons, coupons, or an apology. I have never heard of or experienced customer service so poor in my life. If you take your chances here, either speak Chinese or make sure the crazy lady who takes your order repeats it back to you. Then record the conversation so you can tell her SHE is wrong. Why would I order some soup I do not like?

Love this place! Among many other dishes, their shrimp with broccoli, and gourmet fried rice, is yummy.

Tasty little place!
A great value especially the lunch specials...
The soups are massive, specially the seafood soup.
The take out is prompt as well as the delivery service. I would highly recommend this place to any Chinese food lover.

We love this place, we used to go there when we lived in Playa for 4 years. My son loves there won ton soup. We have never been disappointed or gotten sick. We still make the drive to go eat there.

I order the lunch special and like they deliver for free food is pretty good. Dont like the entree's only come with the meat and no rice and somewhat pricey. Will only order when lunch special avail for delivery otherwise no thanks

This place is probably ok for lunch as the prices are good. We ordered dinner and found the food to be less than average, The chiken was flavorless and the beef was chewy. It also seemed very thick and unhealthy like maybe MSG or something cant say for sure. I would not go back.

I use to live in playa and this restaurant has never disappointed me or my daughter. I used to work on a Chinese restaurant and the food here is both affordable and very good.

Lunch specials are the best Panda Express is no comparison!

I order for the first time from this place this last Saturday 27th and got food poisoned. I haven't gotten food poisoned in over 20 years...I would never recommend this place to anyone...It was a disgusting experience guys..Not fun to be all night throwing up. It is evident that their food quality is lame..

The food is excellent. I used to order from them as many as three times per week, until one time I asked them to hold the egg in the fried rice, as my five year old was allergic. Not only did they refuse, but they also would not tell me who the owner was or how I could contact him to complain. I went there in person more than once but never could track down the owner as they steadfastly refused to help me locate him. Eventually, since the food is very good and there is no competition and I am a spineless unprincipled gourmand, I started going back. I just get my neighbor to order it for me.

The food is GREAT here. But does anyone know if they use MSG? It does not say if they do OR do not use MSG on their take out menu. Hmmmmm. Even if the food taste's great if they use MSG thats a deal breaker for me.

But the food is great and you can't beat the lunch specials!

Outstanding place. Among the best Chinese food I've ever had, and a great value. I've been ordering it delivered for many years in Playa, and it's one of the best in LA.

Several years ago a Chinese friend invited me for lunch and I have been hooked ever since. I have eaten Chinese food all over the world and The Szechwan Palace is the best. Great service, great price and great food. I will go out of my way to have lunch there. I continue to seek out as good or better, and am always disappointed. If there is better out there, I haven’t found it.

Great tasting Chinese food at inexpensive prices. The lunch special is incredible value for money! I have been searching for the past two months for a good Chinese restaurant in the Marina Del Rey/ Playa Vista area. I am Chinese and do not particularly enjoy Americanized Chinese food. Well, this place delivered beyond my expectations! You can save yourself a trip to Monterey Park. Enjoy! : )

I ordred the tangerine chicken and the Kung Pao chicken for delivery. Not only did the driver have it at my house in less than 15 minutes, the food was hot and tasted wonderful! The food is very inexpensive for the quality, taste and service. Szechwan Palace is one of the best Chinese take-out/delivery restaurants I have ever had. I highly recommend it!
