Really fresh food, large portions, friendly staff (family owned). My husband is from the south and had never eaten Greek food; needless to say he love's it and actually request that we go there and pick up food on weekends at home. Their hummus is perfectly seasoned and addictive, the greek salad is dressed to perfection as well...it's all good.

Their eggplant spread (sorry forgot the name) is absolutely the best I have ever had. We get the chicken kabob w/double eggplant and double hummus and it feeds 3 people. We make a salad at home. Reasonable and delish!

We have our business close by and we order in at least 3 times out of the week. Co workers and I swear by this place. tsake our word for it. The family that runs this place does a good job on the service and food. Chicken is tender , beef chunks are juicy and side orders are fresh..
Get the chicken and beef chunks

I've never tried the falafel (but my experience is that good falafel is VERY hard to find in L.A.--the best falafel is King of Falafel in San Francisco or Falafel Hut in San Jose, CA). Had a completely different experience at City Best than the previous reviewer. Ordered the grilled chicken kebab, kefta kebob and roasted chicken. The kebabs are grilled over charcoal, and the proprieters indicated that their specialty is the marinated chicken breast. Each order is served with your choice of 4 (yes, four!) cold or hot sides. You can choose from everything from babaganoush to dolmades, to green salad to fries.
This is a family owned restaurant, with quick service. Although the place was fairly empty, they made us feel very welcome without being intrusive or overbearing. For an average of $10/order, with enough food for two on each plate, this is a great value.
They also have some nice picnic tables out front that will be very nice for an evening summer meal.

The sauces and salads were bland, the falafel was rock hard and the chicken was tougher than the first steak I ever cooked by myself.
When I brought all of the above to the attention of the "manager," she simply stated that she would do nothing since she had many repeat customers. (Maybe that's why their parking lot is always empty).
Well, I won't be one of them.
