Top of my list for restaurants in LA. I'm from New York so I'm kind of spoiled with all the good eats over there. Of course LA has it's specialties. But I was so happy to find this place! Intimate, romantic, friendly with great, knowledgeable wait staff and sophisticated but not overdone menu. DELICIOUS! I go there any chance I get. Not expensive! I read one other review here and the person was a vegetarian and complained about the price of a $10 omelet appetizer that came with a salad. Portions are generous. The BRANDAD is particularly AMAZING. Melt in your mouth salt cod roasted with garlic and tomatoes with toasts. Come on!

I thought the place was really cue. Nice atmosphere but thats the only thing I liked. I had read reviews about the crowded tables. We were on the end so I had a wall rather than another table crammed against me. the food was ok but I couldn't try much being a vegetarian. I had the omlette which is a la carte-a plain egg which cost $10. The salad had a disgusting oil and salt dressing. the salt was overwhelming. The flourless chocolate cake was dense and dry. My boyfriend had the seafood soup as an entree. He liked it but was still hungry and it was $20. My other friends sort of liked their food. The duck was a tiny plate. The portions were small and nobody wanted to go back there again.
