I tried this place for the first time last week while I was in the area. The atmosphere was pretty simple, but there was plenty of seating, especially in the booths. The staff, mostly women, were really friendly and had a bit of shyness to them. They mentioned that coming in earlier in the day would give me more options for dishes.

Food at Ali's on Bluehill ave is good. On the other hand the customer service is so terrible that it overshadows the food. They are very rude and tend to look down on native black Americans.
