If small town pizza joints are your thing, Antonio's 2 might be your thing. Overall, thev flavor is ok, but lacks terribly in eye appeal and technique.
1. A cooked pizza is identified by the cheese being golden brown. This also adds a depth of flavor Antonio's lacks, as the cheese is JUST melted, and frankly underdone.
2. The proper cheese blend. Antonio's seems to use only Mozzarella. If an 8020 or 79/30 blend were used, it would not only taste better, but look nicer when fully cooked.
3. Marinara isn't for pizza. Pizza sauce is a must. Marinara is for pasta or as a dipping sauce. It's too wet due to the veggies in it, making the cook on the bottom crust less than done, and possibly why the cheese won't cook either.
Overall, the flavor is just "ok"... nothing to rave about. But as there's not much else to choose from in Bernardston, this is what passes for pizza.
