As I waited at the stoplight, a familiar eatery beckoned me with the promise of hearty subs and warm soup, a place often spoken of among coworkers but never visited. Once inside, the bustling atmosphere and the comforting smell of freshly baked cookies enveloped me, and I savored a meatball sub that was as satisfying as the lively camaraderie shared among locals.

I have been buying lunch from here for years & years now! Jeff( owner) has delicious, freshly made sandwiches, grinders, home made soups( huge selection of soft drinks), salads, pickles to go with those sandwiches & chips at reasonable prices. The sandwiches/grinders are nice & "full of actual meats, tuna( best tuna I have ever had & I have worked in hospitality business for 35 yrs where head chefs whip it up for me but none of it compares to Celery Stalk tuna salad! I just "LOVE IT!"). It is better to order in advance or you might have to wait a bit, for this place is packed at lunch time with orders to go, but they do have a few tables where you can sit inside & there is one picnic table outside! My husband raved over his roast beef grinder yesterday & my grandson told me how delicious his cold cut grinder was. My husband goes crazy over their cream of mushroom soup made fresh( all their soups are & so yummy!) only on Mondays & I go crazy over their split pea & ham soup sold only on Tuesdays ( hard to find & so scrumptious) but be warned, they sell out early so order early or by 12:00 pm they will be sold! Their chicken rice soup is sold every day & so good. It is not bland or over salty like you find so many soups now but flavorful & actually homemade! Their chili is excellent but very spicy, as I found out yesterday lol! so my husband inherited "my chili for another meal & his soup! They run soup specials daily! I can't believe this place only got four stars ⭐️ for it most definitely is a five star sandwich shop! If you are looking for a delicious, freshly made, inexpensive lunch then "THE CELERY STALK" is absolutely the place for you!♥️
