The Tavern at the Hawthorne Hotel is a cozy spot with super friendly staff and delicious food that made our winter weekend in Salem special. I had the curry with salmon, and my husband couldn't stop raving about the chowder-definitely a fun place to relax and enjoy a meal!

Preface this with the food is very good. BUT. I chose Tavern for brunch for 21st Bday. I picked for the brunch menu, factoring in age group 5 15-21. 5 adults, and cost. The menu was great. Unfortunately when we got there and got the menus it was not the same. I was confused as I do t make mistakes like that. The options were not great for my group. And VERY pricey. Lucky for me my friend looked in line and we asked. The menu literally changed the day before my party. The waitress was great and we were able to order from that menu. Food was great. Pretty mad about the menu. I also waited 29 minutes for my table and the singer wasn't great.
