i have been a patron for 40 years and never had a complaint . tried most of the menu 5 star food

I have been going to the Wok since the 80's. I currently live far from the area but The Wok is always on my list of places to visit when Im in Massachusetts. It's like stepping back in time to a bygone era of local Cantonese influenced Chinese-American restaurants. Friendly service and the food is amazing. The boneless spare ribs and pan fried dumplings are a must.

I visited for the first time today and unfortunately, it will be my last.
The Wok was recommended by a friend who enjoys their cuisine.
First, I greatly appreciate that they were open during the pandemic.
The food however, was just meh. The flavor of the chow mein reminded me of La Choy canned chow mein. There wasn't much in the way of chicken and there wasn't the normal assortment of vegetables that you would normally find in chow mein, it was mostly bean sprouts.
The egg rolls are HUGE, but unfortunately have the same problem as the chow mein; not much flavor.
I was quite disappointed and won't be returning. My search for good Chinese food in Greenfield continues.
