Yeah, we know it's closed...now. We had reservations at Miss Bessie's Dec. 13, 2010 and no one bothered to call and tell us it was closed. Went to Henderson Village in Perry anyway, it's much better!!

Enjoyed lunch at Miss Bessie's with a large group (20+) of friends. The service was good and the food was delicious. I had the quiche, fruit cup, garden salad and pecan cream cheese pie. What a fun place for a group of women. We enjoyed the hats and the interesting place settings with mix and match old china/crystal patterns. I have now planned to go back to Miss Bessie's next month to celebrate a friend's birthday. (The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because there is always room for improvement.)

Had lunch there twice in the past week. Food and service were great. Love the peach tea,sandwiches and black-eyed pea soup. Be sure to wear one of the hats hanging on the walls. My 10 year old daughter and 80 year old mother enjoyed it too.

I had the pleasure of coming to your tea room on Saturday May 9, 2009 for a Mother/Daughter tea with my special daughter Jennifer Ramsey. I was really impressed with your tea room. The food was very good. We had the chicken salad sandwiches, broccoli and fruit. When my daughter comes home for Thanksgiving I will be bringing her over there, also my Sister who loves hats. "Great little shop.
