Ah, Speed's Kitchen-what a treasure that has sadly shuttered its doors for good as of January 2024! This quirky little dive had the best fried shrimp that danced on my taste buds, and don't even get me started on the key lime pie that was practically a steal at $2.50 a slice. The journey from Savannah was an adventure in itself, especially with a pit stop at America's smallest church, making the whole experience deliciously unforgettable!

Speeds has always been our favorite seafood place. It is still really good, but it takes forever to get your food. At least an hour, with a restless child is just too much. Hardly anyone else in the place when we went.. I think, but don't know, that there has been a switch in ownership or management that accounts for the delay and lackadaisical service.

Save your time and money and go anywhere on the bluff except Speeds.
