This taco joint is seriously a treasure in my neighborhood. The barbacoa is out of this world, and the asada and chorizo are equally fantastic. The people are super friendly, and the prices make it easy to grab a filling lunch without breaking the bank; I've been coming here weekly for two years and it never disappoints!

I almost feel guilty writing this review because this place is a gem that few non-hispanics know about. The fewer people that know about this place the better because ordering food can begin immediately upon entering the building. The cook and cashier don't speak English but this isn't an issue when ordering food and paying. There are tacos, burritos, sopas, flautas, and menudo on saturday and sunday. You can choose from a variety of meats that include barbacoa, carnitas, chorizo, carne asada, al pastor, and fish. Rice, refried beans, and soft drinks bottled in Mexico round out the menu. The food here is prepared in front of your eyes. The dining area consists of two rows of folding tables and plastic chairs. if you don't mind sitting at a table with perfect strangers, you will love the atmosphere. I have eaten at the highly rated Mexican restaurants in the area and they just don't compare for authenticity and superb taste of this place. Try it, you will not return to the other Mexican restaurants.
