My sister-in-law and I were visiting. We stopped there for lunch on Fri. And went back again Sat. We loved the outdoor dining and atmosphere! Everyone was very polite, friendly, and helpful. We had the bbq pork sandwhich, with slaw and potato salad. A black bird flew down and got a chunk of my bbq meat. I figured he must not be b from NC since he did not take any slaw to go with it! 😉😉 The gift shop was nice. The alligators and aviary area also really made the whole experience a delight! I will definitely bring my husband next time we go back. We do both use canes to assist with our walking so it was slow going, but was worth the effort!!

The outdoor seating provided a pleasant atmosphere as we enjoyed a seafood boil filled with snow crab, shrimp, and sausage, although we had to move inside due to incoming rain. Our server was attentive and even offered band-aids when needed, adding a personal touch to the experience. While the seafood was good, some items felt a bit overcooked, yet the overall enjoyment of the meal and the lively ambiance made it a memorable outing.

I found out about The Crab Shack on https://visittybee.com/restaurants while searching for tybee island restaurants to go to during our last visit. The fiance and I had the low country seafood boil for two and it was amazing. Fresh seafood, friendly staff and great service. What more can you ask for??

The Crab Shack is a visitors 'Must' on a visit to Tybee. Kids love the Alligator ponds where they can feed baby alligators food from a fishing pole while they themselves wait for dinner. Sitting dockside is wonderful under huge oak trees dotted with lights made from bushel baskets. (Make sure you take your bugspray if you plan on sitting outdoors.) All the Crab Shack's food is boiled (nothing fried here!) so be prepared if you have picky eaters. However, if you love a good Low Country Boil (shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob) you won't find any better!
