Average Jo's Food in Blue Earth offers a diverse menu with comforting options, such as Sweet potato fries and a delicious cookstove jo burger. The atmosphere is welcoming, with friendly staff and a family-friendly vibe that makes it a great choice for a meal in town.

USED to be great, but the dumbass owners ran it into the ground.

Hope you are happy you destroyed something magical in a dying small town that could ill afford to lose businesses

I grew up in Blue Earth but this is the LAST restaurant I would eat or socialize in. Their manager Karen has the social skills of a hippopotamus! And their food?
All these years I've sucked up eating their saltine cracker tasting pizza because my dad couldn't cook! I think their buffets are as dry as cardboard! Instant mashed potatoes at a $15 Easter or Mother's Day buffet? This year I told my mom I'd eat Mac n Cuz before I'd go there! Oh and forget trying to use the bathroom or get a drink of water when you are out walking! This small business does not allow it! So bring your change and buy from their machine outside after you will have to consider the option to cop a squat near their dumpster? Thank God my mom finally spoke up and doesn't make us eat their over priced and under tasting food on holiday gatherings! I wouldn't consider attending a class reunion there either! The serviceand food is about as good as those who run it...into the ground. Do yourself a favor...drive another town!

Gaylord is a dumbass. Excuse the language. The owner is very friendly and is most accomodating in making sure the customer is happy, at any cost. Anyone who feels differently is simply pissed off because they didn't get their food as fast as you would at a mcdonalds. News flash; Double Play isn't a fast food establishment, its a restaurant!

boycot this place, she has been charging her employees for food even when they don't get a break or don't eat. this is stealing. This is illegal

I have visited the three restrants in town, I find at country kitchen you wait a half hour or more for food, at lunch you get instant potatoes"I HATE" freezer burnt or dried out meat, will never go back. Southern jacks I would never take my children due to the atmosphere! Need I say more. I can take my family to double play and not worry about this. Have some of your complaints been because you didn't get the service, or in some cases you had alittle to much to drink. This goes both ways not all customers are on their best behavior and expect perfection when they aren't. Think About That Next Time You Eat Anywhere!

The owner never argues with customers, if you eat the entire meal and say it was bad, then yea, she's not going to "give you your meal free". Obviously, if you ate it all, then it wasn't bad. She is an honest woman. Double play is an awesome place to eat, everyone is friendly, service is great, food is great, and is very family-oriented.

I would not go back even if someone paid me. The owner is very unfriendly, all she cares about is making money. She does not want to make her customers happy, SHE is always right... not the customer. If something is wrong with your order she will argue with you to make you look stupid. Most of the cooks and waitresses seem nice.. but she is the reason that we will never go back.
