The kountry kettle is one of my favorite restaurants and I totally recommend it!

I have been there for their annual smelt fry for the past 6-8 years and it is generally very good. It's a simple affair with potato salad (V.G.), baked beans, bread and pre-battered smelt. They generally draw quite a few locals with few seats left over for 3 hours. A little pricy for it being a simple affair but not real bad.... $20 covers the meal, a beer, tax & tip. On other days the burgers are very good and the beer is always cold.
