The Country Fried Steak and sausage gravy were absolutely delicious, and the coffee was wonderful, making for a fantastic breakfast experience with generous portions and friendly, efficient service. I enjoyed the pot roast open-faced sandwich that tasted like homemade comfort food, and the variety of menu options, including desserts like bread pudding and pies, made me eager to return whenever I'm in the area.

Went to Old Homestead Cafe because it was recommended to us while we were vacationing. The first night we ate there was soooooo good we went back the next day for another meal. All their food is homemade, even the pies and breads. You won't leave hungry!!! The owner was very personable and made us feel at home. I highly recommend the pot roast dinner, although everything is delicious I'm sure. It was 12 miles out from where we were staying, but made the trip twice cause it was well worth it. Thank you to Thomas and all who work there.

Their "Sour Cream Raisen Pie" is to die for, my favorite and best I have ever had in MN. Mmmmm good. Great home cooking with many old fashion comfort foods. Oh by the way, awesome PIZZA 🤪
