We are locals who used to frequent the Outdoorsman years ago, it was very good food and waitresses were great. We stopped in a couple days ago 8:30-9:15 for breakfast I had pancakes they were good, our coffee was bitter and we added a lot of half & half, I even tried sugar that didn’t even help. My moms meal was very undercooked greasy hash browns that tasted like old fryer oil, her bacon was cooked good but it just tasted old, toast wasn’t even very good. Complained to our waitress about the hash browns because they were the worst, seriously not edible. The waitress said we would not get anything off the meal that the hash browns are free 😳🤷‍♀️ when the owner came out we complained about the undercooked, old fryer oil taste and she was so mad she stomped away to the kitchen and I could hear her complaining about us quite loud. She came back and said they don’t use any oil and the potatoes are fresh peeled. No apologies here, we will NEVER go to the Outdoorsman again. Unfortunately, I hate to admit we both had stomach issues as soon as we got home. I accidentally spilled some
half n half on the table in front of the condiments then I laid the napkin on plate, I was quite surprised how dirty the table was with short blackish curly hair 🤮 I took 2 pictures but it won’t let me upload them

Ive been going to The Outdoorsman for years first as a tourist and now as a citizen of Walker and I think the place is the greatest!! I've never had a lunch there, but the breakfasts are tremendous. And the service? I've NEVER had anything but the best of service.

Buyer beware!! Especially if you have kids do not eat here!! Kids meals are a total RIP OFF! $5.99 per kids meal for 1 sausage link and 1 small box mix pancake. Kids are 5, 6, 6 and ate half of our food. $60 bill for 5 people and every single one of us walked out hungry. I should have paid for the drinks and walked out as soon as the food came. Then the waitress tipped herself $7.50 for doing absolutely nothing. I have never been more disappointed in a restaurant. Total tourist trap that brings you in to steal your money knowing u r never coming back.
