Food is good but we had to wait an hour for our food. We also had to go to the bar to get our drinks, the wait staff is lazy and inattentive.

In response to not getting an answer when you call this restaurant, the number you need to call is 553-3183 NOT 553-3153 and you will promptly get an answer.

Worst restaurant ive ever been to. Waitress had to take our order twice. There were two other people in the restaurant and it took 20 minutes for the waitress to even notice we came in. They had the air on when it was 40 degrees outside, they put a nasty flavor in my water that tasted like stale sprite. & they charge a dollar a piece for a piece of lettuce, slice of tomato, & ranch. Its ridiculous, & most of the time you have to tell them you want your food well done because they serve it to you raw. I bit into a burger that was raw in the middle & tasted like blood. I will never go there again.

We had a party of five and all loved our food! It was so reasonable. The wait staff was attentive and waiting time reasonable. After reading some of the older posts I was apprehensive to eat there. We loved the Wildcat decor, after growing up in Wells and going to Wells-Easton High School. My Mom had today's special of Two Turkey sandwiches and fries for $6.95! Wells really needs a place like this. Jake's Pizza isn't open during the day on Sat. and we didn't want "fast food."

I came to this restaurant on a Tuesday night with a group of friends, which suppose to be their burger basket night. Our waitress was kind, but really failed to come back and ask if we wanted more to drink. Each member of our group ordered a burger basket, which just that much took the server about 15 minutes to actually come back and get the order.

As we waited for our burgers, another table sat behind us in the bar area and all ordered burger baskets also. Some how the people at the that table managed to get their burgers almost 15 minutes before us making our wait time 45 minutes for the same number of burgers. We got no compensation, no apology, no explanation; just a check.

From the night we have not been back. The owners have serious attitude problems; he thinks he is better than the next person (which if I am eating in your establishment you better love me since I am giving you my hard earned money). She is just straight up lazy (if I wanted to watch someone hold up a counter and eat at the bar I would just eat at home... if fact she and some other guy with his hat on crooked were the ones cooking the last time I was there).

I have been in this restaurant on several occasions and different times of the day. I know who I looked for and I always made sure I would go in on Saturday and Sunday mornings because of the older male cook who always made my food right and it looked good. But too bad I do not get to enjoy his food anymore because I will not go back until the owners figure out how to straighten out their business.

Things to fix:

Prices- are outrageous for food that costs about $3.00 to make and charging $0.50 for over seasoned "Cat Chips" really, I'll pay regular price and put the free salt on my regular fries.

and

Attitude- your guests should become your best friend they are giving you their money.

To anyone who read this use your own judgment but they should spend more on their wait staff and cooks and less on a patio that is forgotten about.

I love this restaurant. I always get good food, good portions & good service. Better than the other restaurants in Mankato!!!

We drive from Mapleton to eat there all the time. We think the Burgers are great and neat atmosphere in the Bar Area. We really like going there and we like that we're supporting a small town business as we know it's that much harder to make it in a smaller town. We're glad they're there! More small towns need a burger place like this!

This place was the worst place I have ate at in a long time. Do not waste your time. We ate there in the evening and it was us and two other tables, but the food still took 45min to get and then is was cold. No one knows how to cook at this place. We have been here before on a Saturday night for certain specials but it seems they always change or don't have what we want. They need staff that knows how to cook and place a food order.

I have always had good food and good service at Wildcats. The owner always comes out and asks how the food is and is very friendly. Love it.

I've eaten there 3 times now. Each time I ate half the meal, bland, nothing to brag about, certainly wouldn't treat a friend or take a client there. Prices are high for the quality. Service is ok, but nothing special. I gave it 3 shots, that's 2 too many. They should do ok though, only D.Q. and Jake's pizza to compete with. Anyone who wants a more tempting meal will have to go to Mankato or Albert Lea.

Horrible food. Had a Ham and Cheese sandwich and was given an out of the package bun which was hard and burnt. The ham was thin deli sliced ham (3 pieces) and was seared on the griddle which turned it rock hard, cheese was hardly melted. Refused to pay for the meal and went to culver's for a much better sandwich at half the price. Avoid this place.

HORRIBLE!!! I took a friend there and it took 35 minutes to get a hamburger and a BLT to us and we were the ONLY people in the place! The service is soooo slow! When we got our food my hamburger was burnt and the bread on my friends BLT was as hard as a rock. NEVER AGAIN !!! GO to the Dairy Queen!!

Since the move to the new location I think the food and service is awful! The menu doesn't have a lot of choices and when the food comes it ALWAYS falls short of decent food. The service, well is worse than terrible. We took my visiting mother in law here for dinner one night and our food came out 45 min after ordering it 1 plate at a time with 10 min in-between each order. I was so embarrassed that I brought her there. AND the place was dead there were only 2 other tables of 2 people. As someone else states they do not answer there phones so placing a order to go is next to impossible.
They better get it together because this stuff travels fast in a small town and no one wants to eat there with bad food and bad service. Spend more attention on the food and service rather than the patio and little golf carts to drive around in. you may then have something!

The evening meals are excellent as is the evening staff very friendly. I have only eaten there twice in the last 3 months over the lunch hour. The food was good but the service is terrible during the day. Need to get the male waiter back during the day shift.

This place has the best food and the employees were wonderful and very friendly, I really like that the owner would come right to my table to ask how the food was! Excellent job wildcats!

good food but has a lot of employees that are slackers and the owner of the place is the worst! he needs to make changes if he wants to keep his business going!

Fantastic food! Horrible service! Try and call for a take out order, they don't answer phones. have tried to call for a week straight for take out for my business employees. The phone did not get answered one time. To bad really, wells needs a good place to eat. even when going into the bar and grille, customer service is nonexistant. I will not be going back!

review_stars 10/21/2009 - Anita
Add some good service and this wouldn't be a bad place to eat. as it is now, it is worse then terrible. Someone should explain what service is to these owners.

The food is wonderful- however, I have only experienced a handful of times with good service. Thankfully, take out is available!
