When I was a small kid, we lived just outside of Chicago in Naperville. I remember my dad stopping at Al's Italian Beef on his way home and getting beefs for us. Living in Booneville, I remember the original Danny's Italian Beef. He bought his bread out of Chicago and had it delivered weekly. When the Edge family bought them out, they kept everything the same and it is absolutely great! Almost every trip to Booneville, I stop by and get a couple of beefs. Reminds me of great times I had as a kids. I live in Atlanta now and I haven't found a decent beef with 50 miles. Danny's is GREAT! People in Booneville just don't realize the jewel they have there.
BTW, it's the bread that makes the beef!!!! No other bread around like it!

Best place to eat on the east side of the Mississippi River!! Been eating at this place my whole life (33years) and you couldn't ask for a better meal to eat for the price!! Cheap and very good with good conversation while there!!
