As a native Mississippian from Monroe County, my return to the Delta after years up North was a unique experience. Stopping at Uncle Henry's for a late night drink and rest brought back surreal memories that have stayed with me. The lake, trees, humid air, diverse patrons, eclectic book collection, and distinct ambiance create a memorable setting that may not be for everyone, but is perfect for those seeking an authentic Mississippi experience.
