Growing up in New Orleans, I've had my fair share of shrimp po-boys, and this place really brings that authentic flavor I miss, especially with bread that tastes just like Leidenheimer's. The shrimp is perfectly seasoned and breaded, and their portions are so generous that the shrimp literally fall out of the sandwich. Even with the humble setting inside a gas station, the food is consistently fresh, delicious, and worth every visit-I've brought family from out of town who couldn't believe how good it was.

Seafood Express has been open and operating in Meridian for many years, starting out at the old Pizza Hut building on 8th street. They still make the absolute best overstuffed shrimp poboy around! Reminds me of the ones of my childhood on the beach in Alabama!
