There's a fantastic eatery on the southside of Chicago around 76th Cottage Grove, close to a car wash spot. They offer a diverse menu with items like chicken sandwiches, polishes, hot dogs, double cheeseburgers, gyros, cheesesticks, mushrooms, onion rings, and more. One of my favorites is the gyro burger - a burger topped with gyro meat, BBQ sauce, mayo, lettuce, and optional cheese - which is quite filling and comes with a can of soda and a small fry for about $4.77, making it a great value. The prices here typically range from $5 to $6, and while the place may not be fancy, it has that authentic local southside flavor that I enjoy. You can also call ahead to place orders for convenience.
