During my time in Ottawa, I had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant that came highly praised. The service was exceptional, with our attentive server taking the time to explain the menu options and specials, making our experience enjoyable. The BBQ was fantastic, especially the brisket, and I left with delicious leftovers that I couldn't wait to enjoy later.

Go here often. Only one time have we had a not great slab of ribs. The jalapeño sausage is to die for. Great food, great service, and great beer! Always busy. That says a lot.

Undercooked and overpriced burnt ends. You can get a great cut brisket from Costco for 4.40 a pound, here I was charged 330.00 for 10lbs of undercooked burnt ends. My brother smoked 3 briskets, 2 pork butts, 5 racks of baby back and 2 turkey breasts for 350.00, that was about 100lbs of meat. His burnt ends came out 100 times better, not the undercooked jelled fat. Should have looked at them before leaving.

The Longhorn sandwich is my favorite in the world and they have the best HOT BBQ sauce in the world!!!! Great service and love the outdoor seating!

My husband and I go there quite often. They have the BEST baked beans I have ever had, and the BBQ is fantastic.

Great food-friendly staff- perfect location.
Makes for a wonderful experience.
Ottawa Kansas is lucky to have a Smokehouse like this one.

Normally I would give smoked creations
5 stars. Their smoked meats stand up to the "big names" in KC
I drove from Lawrence to Ottawa
Just to pick up a take out order
Of a full slab of ribs, my fav.
So I am puzzled as to why you would
Heap on-a messy pile of commercial
Cheap dill pickles and some juice as well
I do not like dill pickles and I could not get rid of the pickle Taste
When all I wanted was the smoky taste
So my dinner was ruined
And my 60 mile (round trip)
Drive was a total waste
Did anyone think of asking
If I wanted pickles
I have taken out from so many
Big name Bbq restaurants and this
Was a first for me

we found this wonderful place just driving through to Tx...is was SO Awesome we Had to stop on the way back, made it one day..late dinner but very much worth it. only one sad thing...they were out of 2x red "getting Piggy" t shirt.. how can I get one!
