After checking out the International Tennis Museum, two employees suggested Cru Cafe, so we gave it a shot despite the long Saturday noon line that moved quickly. We grabbed a seat by the big, bright windows, and the cozy vibe plus speedy service made the wait worth it-my chicken sandwich was great, but those crispy tater tots with the special sauce totally stole the show. Between the friendly staff, tasty food, and chill atmosphere, this has become a go-to whenever I'm in Newport, even if parking can be a bit tricky.
