Had a rehearsal dinner there recently with 42 guests. Started off bad with one of the managers writing our date down on the wrong week (I made the reservation for the banquet room 7 months prior to the event, they put it on their calendar a week early). I visited in person to set the menu for the guests 4 weeks prior to the event and spoke to a manager and worked out the details (meat options, sides, pricing, children's plates, seating configuration, etc.) and found out they had another group on our date/time. They worked it out b/c I had emails backing up my information thank goodness. Received a call from the restaurant the day before asking me what was supposed to be on the menu and review pricing which was a higher price than agreed to. Had to remember all the details from weeks earlier. We showed up and seats/tables were arranged as we agreed. Guests arrived at 7pm, food delivery was painfully slow. Everyone was supposed to get drinks and a salad quickly while we waited on orders to be cooked. Salads came out so slow that 1/3 of the room was finished with their salads before others got theirs. Food took 1 1/4 hours to come out and then they were calling out "Who had the steak cooked medium with mashed potatoes with brown gravy?" It was embarrassing for a sit down restaurant. They asked the groom 7 times what he ordered. My wife finally had to get up after being asked 6 times herself and went to the trays of food and picked out her plate herself. Food was ok, service/kitchen were terrible. Pros: Beautiful restaurant/ambiance, food usually good Cons: Service was terrible, disorganized and acted like they didn't know we were coming (salads slow). My recommendations: If you plan a large event, check and double check your info, get it writing from them and keep good notes and plan to be there a while.
