Halfway between Los Angeles and Houston, Las Cruces is the perfect spot to take a break on a long drive, which is why I booked a night at the Ramada to recharge. Despite the challenge of finding restaurants open on Dec 23, the hotel restaurant turned out to be a pleasant surprise with its great decor, attentive service, and decent food. While the prices were a bit steep, I can't deny that the overall experience was enjoyable and I would recommend giving it a try if you find yourself in need of a pit stop on your journey.
