Oso has become a favorite for my family, and we tend to visit almost weekly. My preferred dishes include the brisket quesadillas and Oso tacos, which are consistently well-prepared. On a recent stop, I enjoyed a fresh cheeseburger, and while the fries weren't to my liking, the burger was satisfying and flavorful.

We have eaten here a few times, service is good and the meals well priced. Their fried green chili strips with ranch are EXCELLENT! A big, heaping portion for 8 bucks, a great appetizer that will feed four. The green chili cheeseburgers are incredible, the salads are fresh, large and great. A really nice place to eat in Capitan. Just remember that just about everything in Capitan closes at 8PM.

During my visit to New Mexico I had the good fortune to dine on two occasions at the Oso Grill in Capitan. I found the presentation, quality of ingredients and essential character of both meals to be on par with any good restaurant found in a major city such as New York or San Francisco. I recommend the Oso Grill if you're looking for a well-crafted and tasty meal.
