Food here is so fresh and well prepared that it is impossible to suggest a favorite because everything is perfect. Pick your favorite and you will love it! I have a favorite but I regularly order other items just so I can enjoy them as well.
My usual order is:
Guacamole appetizer with their freshly made chips
Steak and Shrimp Fajitas (which always comes to the table steaming)
Whatever Flan is on the menu
I promise you will not be disappointed in whatever you order at El Catrin.

This restaurant has become the go to place for consistently excellent meals!
The bar is known for handcrafted drinks!
The decor has a touch of sophistication that adds to the pleasure of the visit. A fireplace on the focal wall creates a cheerful ambiance as well as a background for live entertainment on the week-end.
It is difficult to suggest a favorite dish as everything on the menu is a beautifully presented delight to the palate.
Eat here just once and you will become one of their many 'regular' diners.

I have taken friends from Arizona and Texas as guests to El Catrin Mexican Cuisine. Both groups commented several times that they found the food here to be some of the best Mexican Food that they have ever eaten. I am in agreement with them on that! If you like to eat where they serve as many locals as they do guest this is the place to go in the Astoria to Cannon Beach area. All food is prepared to order and cocktails are handcrafted from a well stocked bar. A word of caution their house Margarita can be dangerous ;-)
