The fried shrimp here is exceptional, with a perfect buttery crunch, and the sides like macaroni and cheese and potato salad are surprisingly flavorful compared to typical offerings. The fish is well-breaded yet moist, and generous portions of items like whiting sandwiches, hush puppies, and crab cakes showcase the quality and care put into each dish. The service is friendly and attentive, and the family-run, black-owned business has become a reliable and beloved part of the Washington, DC culinary scene.

The fried shrimp is my favorite, butterflied with impeccable crunch, and the Mac and cheese is pretty good; the black-owned business serves up great food with excellent customer service, generous portions, and reliably open hours - definitely worth a visit.

Maggots in my fish is all I have to say and they don't use gloves at least she didn't when I seen her cut someone steak n check I still went back but the maggots is what got me this place is disgusting and needs to be shut down now
