Don Julio's in Carmelita's serves very good Mexican food, and it was our first visit since the spot changed from Sunrise Cantina. The atmosphere feels familiar, the staff are super friendly, and Haiden took great care of our group of seven with quick service. While the margaritas could use some improvement, the food definitely hit the mark and everyone enjoyed their meals.

Over priced and bland. They should have kept Sunrise Cantina menu. That would have been too much work. No more shredded beef...too much work! I'm I'm not going any more. All the new Mexican restaurants that have opened here in the past few years look like they're owned by the same company. None are worth the money.

I don't doubt it. When you are up you have no where to go but down. None of the food here is real Mexican anyway. The place in Camdenton has always been decent. By McDonalds.

The Sunrise Cantina so many of us have loved, for so many years, unfortunately, is gone. It has been replaced with the same second rate, so called Mexican food that is being served at way to many, almost identical, restaurants that have been opened here at the lake and surrounding areas in the last few years. We will miss our favorite Mexican restaurant.
