Plenty of parking available with a short paved walk to the front doors, quick service, solid food, good service, a wonderful scenic view by the window, sketchy free wifi, a little gift shop attached, dog-friendly restaurant with great food, lots of beautiful trails, excellent observation deck parking area, several seating areas along the trail, a great place to grab lunch or coffee and a delicious piece of pie, pleasant waiter, small portions and bill, average food but spectacular views, helpful staff member providing Benadryl for an allergic reaction, surprising great food at the top of the mountain, fast and friendly service, perfect pulled pork, delicious country fried steak, and hot peach cobbler to top it off, all at the restaurant at Mount Mitchell State Park.
