Recently discovered some delicious Pecan Supremes at Dollar Tree that remind me of a classic Pecan Sandy cookie! The vanilla wafer and chocolate pecan flavors are a hit for me, and I always grab a pack from my local store. Bud's, a local cookie maker with a production facility in Hoover, offers an intriguing tour of their cookie "factory" where you can ride a miniature train and learn about the cookie-making process from baking to packaging. It's not a large-scale operation, but it's fascinating to see how they produce up to 1 million bite-size cookies per hour at full capacity, plus you get to enjoy some tasty samples along the way.
