Hearing about "factory tours" on NPR brought back memories of my first one in 6th grade at the Archway Cookie Factory. I remember being excited to try the almondy windmill cookies, even though I was a bit disappointed they were extruded rather than cut out. Thirty years later, I still have fond memories of those crispy, sweet treats, though nowadays I indulge in Feel Good Bakery chocolate sourdough for breakfast instead.
