Having grown up nearby and visited for decades, I can say Humdinger in Kansas City consistently serves flavorful, freshly made comfort food like Italian steak sandwiches, crispy onion rings, and tasty tacos with friendly service, all at reasonable prices, making it a nostalgic favorite despite its challenging location.

I absolutely adore the delectable tacos served at Humdinger Drive-In. This longstanding Kansas City establishment has been a favorite of mine for many years. The menu features a variety of greasy, satisfying food that never fails to hit the spot.

I use to go there a lot during the 1980's, I went today and ordered a double cheese burger with fries. Fries were great but the burger was okay, A Sonic double cheese burger is better. The counter guy seemed bothered that I inquired about a menu item & kept pointing to the paper. Maybe the people who hang out on the curb there like that treatment BUT people from other parts of the city are use to friendlier counter service. Save your gas (I came from South of I-435) and go to your nearest Sonics. FYI the inside ceiling in the drive in needs some serious repair, not sure how the health department missed that.
