Ponak's has been my Mexican food obsession since '95, with its fresh, flavorful dishes that remind me of the Sonoran style I grew up loving. The margaritas pack a punch, the queso is dangerously cheesy, and the service somehow stays speedy even when the place is buzzing with hungry folks. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle, but grabbing a seat near the bar and enjoying chips, salsa, and guac while waiting is totally worth it.
