I worked as a Stephenson's Apple Farm Restaurant Boy in a few rooms in the mid-sixties, but in one room, there was a waiter we called "Tree". He was tall and solid (hence the nickname) and could manage a six dinner tray of food with one hand. He was amazing.
After I left Stephenson's and returned to Philadelphia, I heard that Tree had been killed in a head-on on his way to work.
Gone, but not forgotten. -Mike Walker
