For years, my friends and I have enjoyed visiting Santikos, often arriving early to relax, enjoy drinks, and watch people from the balcony before a movie. The upstairs bar, typically open only on weekends, offers a jukebox, a nearby bathroom, and the friendly service of Christine, the bartender who always engages in pleasant conversation. The theater's location may be a bit out of the way, but the good food and service, such as the large pizzas, make it worth the visit, especially when looking to unwind and have a meal before catching a film.
