Okamoto Kitchen consistently delivers delicious Japanese-inspired dishes, with the Katsu Curry Sandwich standing out for its perfectly crispy chicken and flavorful curry sauce. I discovered this food truck through the FGC scene, as one of the founders is a fellow fighting game enthusiast. Despite being based in southern CA, they made the trek to Arizona, where I finally got to sample their offerings. While the menu was limited that day, the Katsu curry sandwich I ordered was a bit pricey but undeniably delicious, with perfectly crispy chicken and flavorful buns. The efficiency of their service, coupled with their unique anime-themed branding, made it a standout experience for me.
