Crossing from Tecate into Mexico, I unexpectedly stopped for a glass of wine and ended up chatting with the passionate owner about grapes, climate, and winemaking, leaving with two bottles and a big smile. The cozy, old-west-style tasting room, friendly hosts, and beautiful historic ranch setting made it such a relaxing, fun day that I'm already planning my next trip back to explore more wineries nearby.
