The masa used in the tamales is excellent, with generous fillings complemented by a delicious pastry, and the churros fresh from the oven are outstanding alongside a wide variety of authentic Mexican pastries. I enjoyed the chilaquiles the most, noting their unique flavor despite the tortillas being quite thin, while the pozole and champurrado were less impressive to me. The bakery offers a fresh daily selection at reasonable prices, including savory options like burritos and enchiladas, making it a standout choice for both traditional Mexican sweets and savory dishes in the Monterey area.
