Maria's alfajores are a real treat-these homemade cookie sandwiches filled with dulce de leche are buttery and light, striking the perfect balance without being overly sweet. I've sampled alfajores from all over Latin America, but hers take the cake, thanks to the small-batch preparation that ensures top quality. Her Mexican wedding cookies were a hit at my wedding, and I can't wait for the next chance to indulge in her delicious creations!
