I'm a big fan of French Chardonnays from Burgundy, but Kongsgaard is a local legend for a reason. It combines the best of American oak and buttery styles with the mineral notes, citrus flavors, and complexities found in Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. It's easily one of the top California Chardonnays, if not the absolute best.
