French baguettes here have a unique texture-crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy inside-and the trick is reheating them at 400°F right on the oven rack for about 6 to 8 minutes. The bakery starts early, so if you come late in the day, chances are the bread will be sold out, but it's worth the early trip for their amazing butter top and classic banh mi loaves. The service may be a bit quiet, but the fresh, flavorful bread more than makes up for it, and it's become my go-to spot since other favorites closed down.
