The service was fast and smooth, the owners are friendly and attentive, the food-especially the fried rice and crab Rangoon-is flavorful and reasonably priced, making this family-owned Chinese restaurant in U. City a longtime favorite despite its casual setup and cash-only policy.

Service was quick and seamless during my first visit to Lam's Garden. Despite not being a frequent consumer of Chinese cuisine, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavors of the dishes I tried. The rice dishes, in particular, stood out as some of the best I've had in St. Louis.

The food is always good. But be sure to count your change carefully. I have been short-changed on several occasions because I was not paying attention.
