I celebrated a friend's birthday at this cozy and lively spot on a Friday night, making a reservation beforehand is advisable due to the evening rush. Despite the initial buzz, the ambience quieted down as the night progressed, allowing for a more relaxed dining experience. The loaded nachos were generously portioned, perfect for sharing among a group, and the attentive server helped customize my meal to my preference.

Food was terrible! I ordered steak with mash Potato's, Brussels sprouts, truffle fries, and all horrible. I normally get my steak medium and the outside was practically burnt same with the Brussels sprouts. My guess is that they broiled it and didn't take it out on time(Brussels sprouts). The mash potatoes was extremely dry to the point where some fell on me and actually rolled off me to the floor not leaving a stain. The fries I honestly think they diluted the truffle not giving the fries the taste it needed. Oh yea and let me just add that this place is perfect for blind dates! We went and had to use my phone light to see why my food tasted burnt and sure enough it was. I understand dim lights sets the scene but these lights are a bit way too dark to the point where the people across from me I couldn't make out how they look only seen their silhouette. Lastly, the waiter was rushing us to order and yet we didn't even receive our appetizer yet. That honestly made me feel uncomfortable. This was my experience in Wellesley. Im hoping to maybe try out the Newton location since I did hear is much better...

We went to The Local for the first time tonight and loved it! Cara was a great waitress! We both loved our food choices. I had the chicken, butternut squash ravioli dish and it was awesome. My husband had the " LocalDip" and said it was great! We will definitely return...with friends!
