Today, October 5, 2018 was my first experience with Chester's (Clinton). We had heard good things about it. Unfortunately, today must have been a bad day for the chef. The order consisted of two orders of ribs, side of beans and two corn breads - all to go. The bill was $47+. When I got home, there was only one corn bread (no big deal) but when trying the ribs they were very tough, hard to chew and extremely dry. I was able to finish less than half of my meal and threw the rest out into the woods. My wife had the same experience.
I'm not inclined to give it another try. If you like dry, tough ribs, this is the place to go.

Very ordinary.....the burnt ends had none of the juicy fat that is expected.....nothing more than dry brisket. The ribs were also dry and disappointing. Even the corn bread was dry. The beans had no bacon or other meat fragments that you'd expect.....no better than a can of B&M beans. We should have known better than to order here....it was Friday night, height of the summer in August at 5:30 p.m. and nobody but us were in the place. By the time we left, there was just one other couple. Obviously, if they were really good the place would have been mobbed, like the better restaurants along Connecticut's shoreline at that time of day. We will NEVER eat there again.
