Whenever I crave fresh, expertly prepared sushi without the omakase price tag, Kondo is my go-to in Astoria. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the staff attentive and polite, and the dishes-especially the delicate sashimi and grilled black cod-are consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

Kondo is a great choice for satisfying my sushi cravings without breaking the bank. Arriving early, around 5:30 PM, is key to avoiding a long wait for a table. Sitting at the counter offers a mesmerizing view of the sushi preparation, enhancing the dining experience.
