I discovered this Deli adjacent to Jamaica Hospital three years ago when my uncle was receiving treatment there. The fact that it operates around the clock is convenient for late-night cravings. Their sandwiches, customized by the cook, like the BLT or Ham and Cheese on a Kaiser roll, are my go-to choices. Other items I enjoy include the Garlic Plantain Chips, a selection of Haagen Dazs ice cream cups, and a variety of prepared sandwiches and fruit cups displayed in their cold shelf section. The staff is welcoming and efficient, and I appreciate the breakfast specials available between 6 and 11 am, such as the bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll with a small coffee for only $2.75 - a steal compared to prices in the city or even New Jersey. Whether you're passing by or in the area, Gourmet Deli is a reliable spot for delicious and affordable meals.
